Working as a graphic designer and illustrator in Toronto from the 70’s on, to be the artist for the BamBoo world was the best education ever, for learning about African music, one of the giant gifts to the planet.  I’m making textile and fine-art now, but I still find myself inspired and moved by both historical and modern African artworks.
